Thomas DuHamel, Ph.D.
Dr. DuHamel was a cofounder of ABCD, Inc. in 1977. He works with clients ranging from two to twelve years of age who are experiencing a variety of problems including temper tantrums, defiance, noncompliance, short attention span, anxiety and depression. He has special expertise in working with toileting problems (enuresis and encopresis) and children who do not speak outside the home (selective mutism).Dr. DuHamel employs cognitive-behavioral treatment strategies within the context of family therapy. He places a strong emphasis on parent education and the active participation of parents in treatment. When appropriate, Dr. DuHamel also offers neurofeedback as an alternative treatment.
